R-78- 6 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAI:E; ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING <br />THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO TO <br />EXECUTE AND FILE A 5-YEAR ACTION PRO- <br />GRAM FOR CITY PARKS <br />WHEREAS, the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act (LAWCON) <br />and the State Natural Resources Fund provide for grants to assist <br />local public bodies in the development of outdoor recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Rules and Regulations for LAWCON and the State <br />Natural Resources Fund provide criteria that applications must <br />meet; and <br />WHEREAS, in order for the proposed project to be eligible <br />for approval, there must be proof that it is part of a comprehensive <br />outdoor recreation plan and 5-year action program (capitol improve- <br />ment); and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo has an original or revised 5- <br />year action program, which includes Bicycle Trails and Foot Paths. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the <br />City of Lake Elmo, that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed <br />to execute and to file the 5-year action program with the State of <br />Minnesota, Office of Local and Urban Affairs of the State Planning <br />Agency. <br />Adopted by the City Council of. the City of Lake Elmo, this <br />day of G__r 1978. <br />Thomas G.
