R- 78- <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A POLICY OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITY <br />EMPLOYMENT <br />WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City of Lake Elmo to foster equal <br />opportunity for all to obtain employment, education, housing, public <br />accomodations and public services without regard to race, creed., color, sex, <br />age, national origin or ancestry; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo recognizes that it <br />is the right of all job applicants and employees to be recruited, hired, and <br />promoted in all job classifications within the City without regard to race, <br />creed, color, sex, age, national origin or ancestry, except where sex is a <br />bona fide occupational qualification: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lake <br />Elmo that the City does, hereby, declare its policy to take such action as <br />may be necessary and establish such programs as may be appropriate to ensure <br />that all recruiting, hiring, and promotion, in all job classifications within <br />the City of Lake Elmo shall be conducted without regard to race, creed, color, <br />sex, age, national origin or ancestry, except in those cases where sex is a <br />bona fide occupational qualification. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo this 17th day of <br />January, 1978. <br />Thomas G.
