Pott and Johnson voting nay. <br />Administrators memo to become part of these minutes. <br />Johnson moved, Morgan seconded, to amend the Subdivision <br />ordinance to provide for this new formula. Motion <br />carried 5-0. <br />E. Irwin Court Drainage Improvements - Bruce Folz met <br />with Eng3.neer ]3bhrer and recommended the following as a <br />solution to the drainange problem for Irvin Court: . <br />1. An additional 24" culvert, next to the existing one <br />2. 135 ft. of culvert down to Lake Jane <br />3. Lowering the ditch in front of the Rundquist resi- <br />dence - his driveway entrance would be moved to <br />Irvin Court. <br />4. Repair culvert in front of the Jensen residence and <br />blacktop around it. <br />Estimated cost of construction to be $12,000 plus ease- <br />ment cost. Jerry Mogren feel this amount excessive; and <br />that nearby benefiting property owners should share the <br />cost. Cutting the culvert size to 18" is a cost con- <br />sideration. Folz questioned whether the City will pay <br />for the easement. Before any decision is made the Council <br />wants to review the figures on all alternatives. <br />f" F. General Public - No inquiries <br />OLD BUSINESS: A. Bids - Trailer for Mower - Mottaz moved, Morgan <br />seconded,-- the Ci yt purchase the $1,300 Toro Trailer. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />B. License & Permit Fees - Tabled until next meeting. <br />C. VBWI)'�ieP t tions 1003,_ 1004_and 1005 - Al Fandry will. <br />secure the DNR Permits for pumping Lake Jane. The <br />Administrator was authorized to spend $�qoO to lease <br />a pump and pipe to iniate pumping for 20 days. This <br />amount includes fuel. A work crew will be organized for <br />Saturday morning, May 19, to lay the pipe. See minutes <br />of May 14, 1979 for motion authorizing the pumping. <br />Armstrong moved, Pott seconded, to authorize monies from <br />the Administrative Contingence Fund for pumping. Motion <br />carried 5-0. <br />NEW BUSINESS: Licenses - Morgan moved, Pott seconded, to approve-. <br />li.<ense:s .Er. George Sedwick, Heating and Air. Conditioning, <br />1001 Xenia Ave. So., Minneapolis; Charpentier-Madigan, Inc. <br />2777 N. 2nd Street, Stillwater, Sewer Installer; Country- <br />side Sewer and Water, 6680 Jocelyn Road N., Stillwater. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />Signs -- Mrs. Jack Walmer requested a 'Slow Children' <br />sign be placed in front of her residence on Hidden Bay Rd. <br />Such a sign is presently about half a block away. The <br />Council decided to leave the sign where it is. <br />
