R-80-22 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR, <br />AS "RESPONSIBLE AUTIIORITY" UNDER THE DATA PRACTICES <br />ACT, TO ASK THE LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA CITIES TO ACT <br />ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO IN SEEKING TEMPORARY <br />CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN DATA BY SIGNING A "STATEMENT <br />OF PARTICIPATION" IN THE LEAGUE DATA CLASSIFICATION <br />PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, the Data Practices Act makes much personal <br />or security data public as of January 1, 1980, unless such <br />data is temporarily classified; and, <br />WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota Cities has offered <br />to act as an agent for the cities of Minnesota to secure <br />temporary classification of certain personal and security data; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Administrator, as the "Responsible <br />Authority" under the Data Practices Act, has recommended that <br />the City Council authorize him to take advantage of this offer <br />of assistance; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO THAT: <br />The City Administrator is authorized to: ask"the <br />League of Minnesota Cities to act on behalf of the City of <br />Lake Elmo in seeking temporary classification of certain data, <br />by executing a "Statement of Participation" in the League <br />program of data classification. <br />ADOPTED, this the 15th day of April, 1980, by the <br />City Council of the City of Lake Elmo, Washington County, <br />Minnesota. <br />SIGNED: <br />Thomas G.
