RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION TO ESTABLISH SPEED ZONES ON CERTAIN <br />STREETS WITHIN SAID CITY. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo is <br />concerned about vehicular traffic on its streets and that <br />said vehicular traffic should travel at speeds which are not <br />excessive; and <br />WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council <br />that there currently is vehicular traffic on certain streets <br />in the City which is traveling at excessive speeds; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of <br />the. City of Lake Elmo as follows, to -wit: <br />1. The City Council hereby requests the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation to establish a thirty (30) mile <br />per hour speed zone for a portion of Lake Jane Trail between <br />Ideal and Jamaca. <br />2. The City Council requests the Minnesota Department <br />of Transportation to establish. a thirty-five (.35) mile per <br />hour speed zone on a portion of Jamaca between Jane Road North <br />and 45th Street North. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo, <br />Washington County, Minnesota, this 29_th. day of October, 1980. <br />Thomas G.
