RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASH.INGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION R-80-61 AND ORDERING <br />A PUMPING PROJECT FROM LITTLE SUNFISH: LAKE ALONG COUNTY <br />ROAD 70 TO A SITE IN WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo <br />did on October 21, 1980, adopt a Resolution for a pumping <br />project from Little Sunfish Lake to Horseshoe Lake; and <br />WHEREAS, additional evidence brought to the attention <br />of the City Council indicates an alternative method exists <br />to pump the excess surface water along County Highway 70 to <br />an area known as the West Lakeland storage site. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of <br />the City of Lake Elmo as follows, to -wit: <br />1. Resolution R-80-61 adopted October 21, 1980, is hereby <br />rescinded. <br />2. The City Council hereby directs the City Engineer <br />to commence.pumping a maximum of 60 acre feet of excess storm <br />water from Little Sunfish Lake along County Highway 70 to <br />the West Lakeland storage site. <br />3. At all times during said project, the water being <br />pumped into the West Lakeland storage site will be kept at <br />least one (1) foot below the overflow level of the storage <br />site. <br />4. The City will frequently monitor the site to determine <br />the elevation of the pumping into the site. <br />5. The City of Lake Elmo will store an additional 75 acre <br />feet of surface water on Eagle Point Lake until an agreement <br />is reached between the City of Lake Elmo, the Valley Branch <br />Watershed District and the Town of West Lakeland to allow for <br />
