LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING, MARCH 17, 1981 <br />Acting Mayor Morgan called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. <br />Councillors in attendance: Novak, Fraser, Mottaz (7:10) and <br />Eder (7:09). Also, Administrator Whittaker <br />AGENDA: Additions: County HRA Representative, Tom Helgesen; Kroy <br />Industries Sewer Route; Battle Creek Assessment; Well #2; <br />Sewer License for John Janetta. <br />Novak moved, seconded by Fraser, to approve the Agenda as <br />amended. Motion carried 3-0. <br />MINUTES: March 3, 1981 - Corrections Page 1, Brookfield II, add <br />to the end of paragraph 1. The number of parking spaces <br />was reduced to 69 for the first building, parking space size <br />will be 9' x 20' with 24 ft. aisles, and the planting islands <br />will be at the end of the aisles. Page 2, Patti Homes..... <br />they would assume responsibility for the leasing party and <br />they would require the leasee to .. ..Page 5, Office Remodeling <br />paragraph 4, insert after 1981, so that fiscal 1982 funds <br />could be used. <br />Mottaz moved, seconded by Fraser, to approve the minutes of <br />March 3, 1981, as amended. Motion carried 5--0. <br />CLAIMS: Administrator Whittaker added the following claims: <br />Community Association Dues for,, <br />Lake Elmo Business Association $25.00 <br />Cimarron Homeowners Association 5.00 <br />Tri-Lakes Association 10.00 <br />Nancy Prince - Reid Park Meetings 7.12 <br />Mottaz moved, seconded by Morgan, to approve Claims 81231 thru <br />81278, including the additions. Motion carried 5-0. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT RADIO BIDS: <br />Administrator Whittaker reviewed the bid sheet with the Council. <br />The Fire Chief recommended purchasing chargers. The department <br />does not need holsters for the radios. <br />Mottaz moved, seconded by Morgan, to accept the low bid from <br />Motorola, for Mintor Radios with the $20 per unit chargers at <br />a total cost of $2700. Motion carried 5-0. <br />HRA - Tom Helgesen: Mr. Tom Helgesen, the new director of the <br />County's Iiousing and Redevelopment Authority, explained the <br />rent assistance program. He requested that the Council adopt <br />a resolution approving the application for and provisions of <br />a housing assistance program by the Washington County HRA. He <br />stated that the City would be under no financial or administrative <br />obligation by adopting the resolution. <br />
