LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING, MARCH 17, 1981 <br />-10- <br />CABLE TV: Mottaz moved, seconded by "Morgan, to table the cable <br />issue until further information and study is available <br />l <br />Discussion: Mr. Brakemeier said he would like to submit one of <br />the proposed applications to the Cable Board. Mayor Eder said <br />the issue was tabled, therefore, the City will not be involved <br />with either application. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />The Administrator said Mr. Brakemeier can submit his application <br />to the State without City support. He will contact Vicki Long, <br />Minnesota Cable Board, and have additional information available <br />for the April 7 meeting. <br />OFFICE REMODELING: The appraisal for the Meyer property on Lake <br />Elmo Avenue should be ready within the week. Administrator <br />Whittaker suggested that the Building Committee meet before <br />April 7 to discuss the appraisal, size of the building and <br />financing. <br />Morgan opposed any use of Park Reserve Funds to finance the <br />project. He suggested setting a dollar limit on the project <br />before considering any of the options; and opposed additional <br />land acquisition for a new building. Mottaz asked about the time <br />frame concerning the purchase of Equipment Certificates. The <br />Administrator will contact the bond consultants about the time <br />frame. The Council agreed to hold a special meeting on March 31, <br />at 7 p.m., if necessary. <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />A. Warning Tickets - <br />Mottaz moved, seconded by Morgan, to authorize the Administrator <br />to spend $175 for warning tickets for Code violations for the <br />Dog Catcher -.,and Building Inspector. Motion carried 5-0. <br />B. Water School - Elmer Richert asked that Ken Carroll attend <br />Basic Water School and Bob Wier attend Advanced Water School, <br />for certification to run the City Water System. <br />Morgan moved, seconded by Eder, to authorize $45 each, to send <br />Ken Carroll and Bob Wier to Water School. Motion carried 5-0. <br />C. Mn/DOT-SEELER - At the time County 212 was constructed, the <br />County failed to deed a small triangular parcel back to the <br />City; which, in turn, should have deeded it back to the property <br />owner, Richard Seeler. <br />The City Attorney recommended that the City authorize a quit- <br />claim deed to the Seelers;... The Council agreed. <br />Morgan moved, seconded by Mottaz, to authorize the Mayor and City <br />Administrator to sign a Cuit claim deed transferring that portion <br />of parcel 2150 of old Highway 212 right-of-way, back to R. H. Seeler. <br />Mr. Seeler to have the deed drawn up for the Mayor and Administrator's <br />signature. The City will pass -through to Mr. Seeler,any expenses <br />incurred for this transaction. Motion carried 5-0. <br />
