LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING, MARCH 3, 1981 -7- <br />E. Metro Park Maintenance Bill - Mayor Eder explained that <br />this bill will provide State funds for park maintenance rather <br />than force the Counties to pay for maintenance. The Council <br />indicated they would support such a bill. <br />F. Civil Defense Sirens, Tri-Lakes - Tabled <br />G. Licenses: <br />Novak moved, seconded by Eder, to approve the following licenses: <br />Outdoor Coin Operated Plachi-ne - Misty Inn Motel, 9730 Hudson Blvd; <br />1-day Non -Intoxicating Malt Liquor License - Dennis Murray, <br />1800 Dwinnell N. Mactomedi, Mn. Motion carried 4-0. <br />H. Fuel Tanks for Maintenance Garage - Councillor Novak reviewed <br />the size of the tanks and outlined the estimated savings of <br />buying fuel in bulk. <br />The Council discussed the purchase and reviewed the fuel use table. <br />Mottaz moved, seconded by Fraser, to purchase bulk fuel tanks <br />from Lake Elmo Oil, at an estimated cost of $2,000. This amount <br />will be paid out of the Emergency Road Maintenance Fund. Motion <br />tarried 3-0-1. Novak abstained. <br />PARK COMMISSION MINUTES: Fraser requested that the Park Commission <br />Agendas and Minutes be forwarded to the Council. She feels the <br />Council should have information on Reid Park readily available <br />in order to respond to questions or comments raised by residents. <br />Als,oy; documentation of Park Commission recommendations on park <br />dedication should be available to the Council when reviewing <br />plats. An(l, minutes and agendas are necessary for compliance <br />with the open Meeting Law. <br />The Council agreed that minutes and agendas should be sent.to.the <br />Council. They will request that the Park Commission to submit their <br />minutes within two;weeks of.tITeir-meet.ing., The Council will provide <br />a recording secretary if the Commission desires. <br />STREET SWEEPING: Administrator Whittaker reviewed the quotes for <br />Street Sweeping. <br />Mottaz moved, seconded by Novak, to authorize the Administrator <br />to accept the low bid from Allied Blacktop at $43.50 per hour, <br />in,an amount not to exceed $1500.
