LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING, JUNE 2, 1981 <br />-6- <br />D. Retirement/Resignation. Elmer Richert — The Council reviewed Elmer <br />Richert's letter of resignation and retirement. <br />Mottaz move( seconded. by Morgan, to accept Elmer Richert's letter of <br />resignation. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Mr. Richert requested the Council consider compensation for accumulated <br />sick days. The current City policy does not provide for this type of <br />compensation. The Council agreed that until City policy provides for <br />accruing sick days, compensation cannot be paid. <br />E. Audit — Deferred until June 16, <br />F. Conservancy Regulation — Deferred until ,Tune 16. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />Hossow Law Suit — The Council reviewed a copy of the summons and the <br />City's response. The City Attorney advised that the City acted legally <br />and properly in denying the .rezoning. The City is entering a defense of <br />their action. <br />D. 208 an — The Administrator advised the Council that the final draft <br />of the 208 Plan is available for review in the City Office. <br />C, Re ion nal Park — The final Region Park Policy Plan and Development Guide <br />is available in the City Office. <br />D. Landfill Sites — The Administrator reported that the County is going <br />to review the more detailed information on each of the landfill sites at <br />the June 16 0ounty Board meeting. The Administrator mill report on this <br />at the next meeting. <br />E. Molly hedges — Resignation — Molly hedges, Editor of the Newsletter, <br />submitted her resignation effective August 25, Molly indicated she will <br />try to find a replacement. If this cannot be done, the position will <br />be advertised in the Newsletter. <br />F, Gas Pump Islands — Maintenance Gara-.e — The Maintenance Foreman recom— <br />mended a more extensive abutment around the gas pumps. This exceeds the <br />budret by $150 to $200. The Council reviewed the sketch and recommendation; <br />and decided the original plan with posts would be adequate. <br />ADJOURN; Mottaz moved, seconded by Eder to adjourn at 11:00 p.m. Motion carried 5-0. <br />
