LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL - 10/6/81 PAGE 8 ADMINISTRACTa'OR'S REPORT: Building Inspector Continued Duane Grace is available and wiling to serve as an interm inspector. M/S/P Morgan/Mottaz to accept Duane Grace as an interm Building Inspector and release Bruce Rosenau, as of -October 23, 1981, as requested. Mahtomedi has agreed to this set-up and requested they be notified of any changes in the job description. The Council authorized the Administrator to advertise for a new Building Inspector. 2, Joint Planning Commission/Council Meeting -, The meet niet g has been scheduled for October 12, at 7.30 p.m. A Preliminary Agenda has been sent out. 3. Comp Plan - The staff person from the Met Council informed the A ministrator that Lake Elmo can submit a plan indicating that all the sewer units will be used in Section 32, but none will be built before 1986. The Council authorized the Administrator to proceed with this action and notify the Met Council. 4. Washington County Comp Plan - Airports - Whittakei recommended writing a letter to Washington County and the Met Council saying Lake Elmo approves the plan with the exception of the section on Airports, because Lake Elmo was suppose to be included in the development of those standards. The Council agreed. 5. 15th Street Vacation - Hearing - M/S/P —Morgan/Novak to call a hearing for the vacation of--15th Street on November 3, 1981, at''8:15 p.m. 6. Annual Dinner - Christ Lutheran Church - The Administrator will make dinner reservations for October 20. 7. Questions - aa. MSA Variance - Whittaker will write a letter of response. b. Lake Access - Lake Demontreville - Talked to the legislative committee handling the funding for lake accesses for the DNR, and suggested changing the law to provide for condemnation in the Metropolitan area. He will send the committee members the background on the Demontreville access. C. ICMA Conference - No questions from the Council 8.
