CITY COUNCIL MEETING, JANUARY 19, 1982 <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />F. Hire Foreman - <br />The Council discussed the qualifications and experience of the <br />two applicants. <br />M/S/ Fraser/Novak to authorize the Administrator to conclude <br />negotiations with David Wisdorf for the position of Maintenance <br />Foreman/Superintendent. <br />Discussion <br />--Whittaker - recommended probationary salary be set at $20,500. <br />--Novak - should be offered the same as the previous Foreman, $20,000. <br />Motion carried 3-0-1 Mottaz abstained. <br />M/S/ Novak/Eder to offer. David Wisdorf a probationary salary <br />of $20,000, with a review in six months. <br />Discussion: <br />--Fraser - feels the $20,500 recommendation is appropriate because <br />of the reduction of insurance benefits he will sustain in,;�6osping to <br />Lake Elmo. <br />Whittaker � Wisdorf is also being paid more in his present job <br />than Rolle Maxey was. <br />--Mottaz - feels $20,000 is fair - will receive the same salary <br />as the man he is replacing. <br />Motion carried 3-1. Fraser opposed. <br />8. COUNCIL DISCUSSION AND REPORTS: <br />A. Goals and Policies - Park and Planning Commission <br />B. Appointments - Park and Planning Commission <br />Because, of the importance to items A & B,the Council felt it <br />would be beneficial to delay, action until adequate time is <br />scheduled for discussion. <br />M/S/P Fraser/Mottaz to schedule Goals and Policies and Appointments <br />for the Planning Commission and Park Commission for February 5, <br />immediately after the Claims. <br />9. LICENSES: <br />M/S/P Novak/Mottaz to approve <br />Pumping-;Septic_'Systems: <br />Morris B.
