February 2, 1982, Regular Meeting - Corrections: ° Item 4. As Mr. Lafayette has indicated he will have no further dealings with the City;, ne No Council action was necessary. ° Item 7.A., Page 4 - MIS/ Mottaz/Morgan C--itp Atteianep... to adopt R-82-5, a Resolution instructing the City Attorney to proceed with condemnation of easements for Keats Avenue MSA Project. ° Item 7.B., Page 4 - M/S/ Morgan/Mottaz to adopt R-82-6, a Resolution approving a large lot subdivision for Bruce Hill.. M/S/P Morgan/Fraser to accept the minutes of February 2, 1982, Special Council Meeting, and February 2, 1982, Regular Meeting, as amended. 3. DNR ACQUISITION OF LAKE DEMONTREVILLE PUBLIC ACCESS - STATUS REPORT: The Council reviewed a February 12, 1982, letter from Dennis- Dailey, Supervisor, Realty Specialtists Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (Mn/DNR). Mr. Dailey was present to answer questions about the Mn/DNR proposal to acquire two lots for the public access on Lake Demontreville. The letter indicated that Mn/DNR would be willing to enter into an agreement whereby the City would control the development and use of the two lots. Mn/DNR cannot enter into any covenant on the second lot which prohibits its use by the Mn/DNR. The Mn/DNR is otherwise willing to let the City control the use of the second lot and to limit development at the public access to what the City approved for the one lot. Dailey indicated it would take two to three months for the Mn/DNR to conclude acquisition of the lots and begin development of the public access. He would like a letter from the City indicating the City understands the proposal set forth in his February 12 ( letter and that the City would be willing to enter into an \ agreement to develop and maintain the access. The Council agreed the Administrator should write such a letter.
