LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MTG.
3/16/82 - page six
Mr. David Garloff was present to point out that residents in that area
are concerned about the wordage in the referenced letter, such that
development on lot can occur if Council asks for a resolution with
public hearing, and Council has already committed itself to making
improvements so lot doesn't become parking lot.
...Eder - letter is saying that if current plan is changed, then they
would have to go through process. It could say "for the future
improvement and development."
...Novak - questioned wordage in Paragraph 3, "this restriction does
not limit in any way the development or use of Lot 1."
Consensus of Councillors was that City Administrator be instructed to
respond to letter, acknowledging clarification of Paragraphs 2 and 3.
12. COUNCIL REPORTS - none.
13. ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT
A. Update Plat Map - Price of $680.00 received to update plat map
and provide reduced copy - hasn't been done in 3 years.
...Eder - would be useful to Planning and Parks Commissions and Council.
M/S/P Eder/Morgan to get plat map updated. (5 ayes)
B. Frozen Service Connectors, Water System - Bid received to
repair 3 faulty systems encountered this winter is $600.00 each;
can come out of water department reserve. (Bid includes digging it up,
insulating and changing the "Y'.,'; does not include repairing the pavement.)
M/S/P Morgan/Mottaz to go ahead with repairs to service connectors.
(5 ayes)
C. Cable Policy
(REF: Memo dated 2/18/82 from William S. Joynes, Suburban Cable
Commission, to Commission Members; and Memo dated 3/12/82 from William S.
Joynes to Cable Commission Members, City Administrators & City Council
Members.)
M/S/P Fraser/Eder to adopt the modified date on the cable
commission contact policy. (5 ayes)
D. Refinishing Chairs - Two bids received -for 10 chairs:
Robert Lifton - $1,060.00 and Woodgrain Restoration of St. Paul -
$600.00.
Mottaz moved to accept the $600 bid for refinishing chairs; Morgan
seconded. Fraser suggested that Woodgrain's work be looked at before
making decision (she will so do). Morgan withdrew his second.
M/S/P Fraser/Eder that item be tabled until Woodgrain's work can be
viewed. (3 ayes; Morgan and Novak nay) .
