LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING, APRIL 20, 1982 <br />JOINT PARK COMMISSION/COUNCIL MEETING <br />Mayor Eder called the meeting to order at 5:10 pam. <br />Councillors present: Fraser, Mottaz and Morgan. Also present, <br />Administrator Whittaker and Engineer Bohrer. Novak absent. <br />Park Commissioners present: Dunn, Yarusso, Clausen, Osborn, <br />Martens, Nielsen. Absent Trudeau and Gehloff, <br />1, AGENDA - Additions: <br />- 8:00 - Deputy Dave Hauer - Enforcement for Demontreville <br />Access for opening fishing <br />- ll.C. - Midland Meadows Plat Extension <br />- ll.D. - Product Information Service - 3 month trial <br />n.11.E. - Administrator Vacation time <br />- ll.F. - Cleaning Service <br />- ll.G, - Brookfield II Open House <br />- ll.H. - Personnel Committee Meeting <br />M/S/P Fraser/Eder to approve the agenda as amended. Motion carried 3-0 <br />2. MINUTES - Deferred until later in the meeting. <br />3. CLAIMS - <br />M/S/P Morgan/Fraser to approve Claims 82406 thur 82442. Motion <br />carried 3®0. <br />4. LICENSES - Addition: <br />- Green Acres for North Star Steel <br />- Jack Lampert - 1678 Red Rock Road - St. Paul <br />- Urban Sander Brick & Stone - Brooklyn Center <br />M/S/P Fraser/Morgan to approve the following temporary non - <br />intoxicating malt liquor licenses at Green Acres Rec: <br />Red Maple Sportsman Club - St. Paul - Aug 7 - 10 a.m.-9 p.m. <br />North Star Steel - St. Paul - July 4 - 10 a.m.-6 p.m. <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br />M/S/P Fraser/Morgan to approve a Contractors License for <br />Urban Sander Brick & Stone <br />6732 Willow Lane <br />Brooklyn Center, Mn. <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br />Councillor Mottaz arrived at 5:15 p.m. <br />S. INTERVIEW CANDIDATES FOR ALTERNATE PARP. COMMISSION OPENINGS - <br />Mayor Eder introduced Nancy Hanson and Arlyn Christ - applicants <br />for Park Commission Alternates. The Council directed the following <br />comments and questions toward the applicants. <br />--Morgan - heartly endorses Mrs. Hanson - she has been actively <br />involved in the community and feels she would be an asset to the <br />Commission. <br />--Fraser - would hesitate having Mr. Christ serve on the Commission <br />at this time because of his past and present position as JC <br />spokesman on the West Sunfish Ball park project - potential for <br />a conflict of interest .in the future in pursuing the development <br />of West Sunfish. <br />
