CITY COUNCIL MEETING, J'ULY 6, 1982 <br />-10- <br />11. ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />i G. Up -Date on Contamination to Lake Elmo Landfill <br />1 Eder referred tEEe Council to the letter from the MPCA on the <br />status of the well'testing around the old "landfill, and their <br />position denying any liability to any person concerning the <br />landfill. <br />The Council directed the Administrator to write the County <br />Attorney and explain the City's action concerning the issuance <br />of building permits adjacent to the landfill site. <br />H. <br />1. Meeting Schedule for' -Landfill -Siting in Regional Park: <br />July 13 - 1c3 p.m. -'Met CT 'oanc 1 = ^3` � anagernen <br />July-22 -- 3:30 p.m. - Physical Development Committee <br />Aug 12 =' 4:00 p.m-. - Met Council .�k. <br />ttee <br />2. 1006 Project Valley Branch Watershed <br />The Managers have regueste the City io indicate what <br />they want the watershed to do next concerning Project 1006. <br />They will do nothing unless they get a petition from <br />Lake Elmo for a specific project. <br />Whittaker advised Nels Nelson, VBWD, of the City's <br />past position. <br />--Eder - will contact Al Dornfeld and confirm their <br />present <br />Whittaker will send a transcript of the last joint <br />meeting with the Watershed and a letter outlining <br />the City's specific recommendations to Mr. Dorfeid. <br />3. Park improvements - Demontreville Park - <br />The Park Commission recommended going ahead with the <br />bridges in Demontreville Park, as planned and budgeted <br />for in the Park Plan. $1,000 was budgeted for this work. <br />The J'aycess have indicated they can build.- -the 'bridges <br />for $300. <br />M/S/P Novak/Morgan to authorize $300 for bridge oonstruction <br />in Demontreville Park. <br />ADJOURNMENT: M/S/P Mottaz/!,organ to adjourn at 10:30 p.m. <br />RESOLUTIONS - 82-39 CUP Rivermen Flea Market <br />82-40 Waste Treatment 201 <br />
