R-©2-58 RESOLUTION CITY OF LAKE ELMO WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO, DELETING THE CSAH 13 BY- PASS AND ADDING THE 53RD STREET EXTENSION WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo and Washington County have determined that. relocating CSAH 13 to the east side of Lake Jane is not feasible or practical because; 1. There is not adequate existing or planned development to warrant a new County Highway at this location; 2. The existing terrain, development and presence of the old County Landfill make it very difficult to route a new County Highway to the east; and 3. Existing Highways and Collector $treets are adequate to serve present and proposed development, and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after adequate notice, held a public hearing on this proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Lake Elmo on October 25, 1982, and .recommended deleting reference to this By-pass from the 'Comp Plan and adding a connection from 53rd Street N., to Keats Avenue to facilitate better east -west traffic movement; and., WHEREAS, the City Council considered these facts, the minutes of the public hearing and the recommendations of the Planning Commission at their regular meeting, November 3, 1982, and decided that this amendment is in keeping with the goals and policies for the rural service area, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo that; 1. Refences to the relocation and improvement of CSAH 13 in the Lake Elmo Comprehensive Plan are hereby deleted (Pps. 42, 44, 97); and, 2. Pages 43, 44, and 97 of the Lake Elmo Comprehensive Plan are hereby amended to reflect the proposed improvement of 53rd Street N. from Foxfire Estates to Keats Avenue, when needed.
