LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 20, 1983 Mayor Eder called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. in the City Hall. COUNCILLORS PRESENT: Dunn, Fraser, Mazzara and Morgan. Also City Administrator Klaers and Consultant Whittaker. 1. AGENDA - M/S/P Dunn/Fraser to adopt the agenda as amended: 4-A. Parks Commission, Lake Jane Pumping in Sunfish Park 7-A. HELP Commentary, Dennis Geiger 9.G. Hammes Problems (Carried 5-0) 2. MINUTES A. M S/P Morgan/Mazzara to approve the 9/ 6/83 City Council minutes as amended: Page 4, 1st Para., "Fraser - would makes sense to get with it according to Agenda Memo." (delete rest of sentence.) Page 6, 1st Bohrer comment, last sentence, "There may be . . . to elevation 928 Page 7, 2nd to last Para., "Consensus of Councillors was that this would not be acceptable." (Carried 5-0) B. M/S/P Mazzara/Dunn to approve the 9/13/83 City Council minutes as amended: Page 3, 2nd Para., "M/S Fraser/Mazzara to the pay ranges . in the pay plan." (delete rest of sentence.) (Carried 5-0) 3. CLAIMS - M/S/P Dunn/Morgan to approve Claim Nos. 84110 thru 84147. (Carried 5-0) 4. LICENSE - M/S/P Morgan/Mazzara to approve a 3.2 beer license for the Red Maple Sportsmen Club private party to be held 10/24/83 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Green Acres Recreation Center. (Carried 5-0) 4-A. PARKS COMMISSION, Lake Jane- Klaers reported on motion made at 9/19 83 Parks meeting whereby they recommended that pumping from the lake be ceased from mid -November to mid -March, in accordance with previous policy, due to the creation of unstable and thin ice for skiers on the lake and in Sunfish Park. e Morgan - don't believe we have to take any action since this is stated in permit. a Allen Dornfeld, VBWD - would like to stay within those guidelines and not pump in the winter months. Klaers will check permit to see if this is stated therein. 5. PUBLIC HEARINGS A. Revenue Sharing - Pursuant to published legal notice, the hearing was opened by Mayor Eder at 7:15 p.m. to discuss uses the Council recommended for funds Lake Elmo receives from Federal Revenue Sharing. Due to there being no one present to comment, the hearing was closed at 7:16 p.m.
