LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 20, 1983 <br />Mayor Eder called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. in the City <br />Hall. <br />COUNCILLORS PRESENT: Dunn, Fraser, Mazzara and Morgan. Also <br />City Administrator Klaers and Consultant Whittaker. <br />1. AGENDA - M/S/P Dunn/Fraser to adopt the agenda as <br />amended: 4-A. Parks Commission, Lake Jane Pumping in Sunfish Park <br />7-A. HELP Commentary, Dennis Geiger <br />9.G. Hammes Problems <br />(Carried 5-0) <br />2. MINUTES <br />A. M S/P Morgan/Mazzara to approve the 9/ 6/83 City <br />Council minutes as amended: Page 4, 1st Para., "Fraser - would <br />makes sense to get with it according to Agenda Memo." (delete <br />rest of sentence.) Page 6, 1st Bohrer comment, last sentence, <br />"There may be . . . to elevation 928 Page 7, 2nd to <br />last Para., "Consensus of Councillors was that this would not be <br />acceptable." (Carried 5-0) <br />B. M/S/P Mazzara/Dunn to approve the 9/13/83 City Council <br />minutes as amended: Page 3, 2nd Para., "M/S Fraser/Mazzara to <br />the pay ranges . in the pay plan." (delete rest of <br />sentence.) (Carried 5-0) <br />3. CLAIMS - M/S/P Dunn/Morgan to approve Claim Nos. 84110 <br />thru 84147. (Carried 5-0) <br />4. LICENSE - M/S/P Morgan/Mazzara to approve a 3.2 beer <br />license for the Red Maple Sportsmen Club private party to be held <br />10/24/83 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Green Acres <br />Recreation Center. (Carried 5-0) <br />4-A. PARKS COMMISSION, Lake Jane- Klaers reported on motion made <br />at 9/19 83 Parks meeting whereby they recommended that pumping <br />from the lake be ceased from mid -November to mid -March, in <br />accordance with previous policy, due to the creation of unstable <br />and thin ice for skiers on the lake and in Sunfish Park. <br />e Morgan - don't believe we have to take any action since this is <br />stated in permit. <br />a Allen Dornfeld, VBWD - would like to stay within those <br />guidelines and not pump in the winter months. <br />Klaers will check permit to see if this is stated therein. <br />5. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. Revenue Sharing - Pursuant to published legal notice, <br />the hearing was opened by Mayor Eder at 7:15 p.m. to discuss uses <br />the Council recommended for funds Lake Elmo receives from Federal <br />Revenue Sharing. Due to there being no one present to comment, <br />the hearing was closed at 7:16 p.m. <br />
