WHEREAS, the City of Oakdale is willing to give good <br />faith consideration to providing a safe water supply to the <br />residents in the area of the Ramsey/Washington County Landfill #1 <br />�✓ under conditions yet to be determined and further contingent upon <br />the countiek involved examining the various alternatives and <br />agreeing that this action will be the best solution to the <br />problem, and, <br />WHEREAS, it is clearly the intent of the City of Lake <br />Elmo to encourage Ramsey/Washington County to consider all <br />possible solutions to the safe drinking water supply problem <br />including, but not limited to, a public water supply system <br />located in Lake Elmo or being provided by Oakdale, and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo will carefully consider. <br />any solution deemed the best alternative by the Counties, and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo believes any and all <br />solutions to the safe drinking water supply problem implemented <br />by the two counties should be the financial responsibility of <br />others than the City of Lake Elmo, and, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lake <br />Elmo desires quick action by Ramsey and Washington Counties to <br />study all possible options in order to determine and implement <br />the best solution to the safe drinking water supply problem for <br />the property owners around the contaminated Washington County <br />Landfill #1 site, and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lake Elmo will <br />cooperate in any manner that is responsible to the citizens of <br />our entire community and the citizens around the contaminated <br />Ramsey/Washington County Landfill #1 site to help reach a <br />solution to the existing safe drinking water supply problems <br />surrounding the contaminated Ramsey/Washington County Landfill #1 <br />site. <br />ADOPTED this <br />Council of Lake Elmo. <br />Attest: <br />Patrick D.
