LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING 11-1-83 Page 4 <br />B. Movie -"Purple Rain": Klaers advised the City Council that he <br />was contacted by representatives of a movie being filmed locally. <br />These representatives stated that they would be filming here in <br />Lake Elmo on Monday and Tuesday, November 7th and 8th. They <br />further stated that they had approval from the Sheriff's <br />Department to block one lane of County Road 5, during the filming <br />of one scene. Another scene will be filmed on Lake Elmo Avenue, <br />in the area of Ben's Elmo Inn. Permission has also been secured <br />by the filmmakers to use the fire hall for their lunch and they <br />will pay any expense that may be incurred by this use. <br />C. Hammes Position Paper: Klaers advised the City Council that <br />he met with, and presented the position paper to the Hammes'. <br />Klaers further stated that the Hammes' did not sign the paper as <br />they would like their attorney to review it first. Another <br />meeting is planned with the Hammes' for Monday, November 14th, to <br />review what has been done. The Mining Permit will be on the <br />November 15th City Council docket. <br />D. Jane Road North Petition: The petitioners asked that this <br />petition be put on the City Council docket on November 15, 1983. <br />Klaers stated he would have the City Engineer review the <br />petition. He further stated that the petitioners concern was the <br />dollar amount; and the City's concern was City Standards and <br />finding a solution acceptable to the City Engineer and the <br />Maintenance Department. <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m. <br />APES OC L) T1 o1) F3 70 - T/a,eT>9i,J /C'/EftIJO��� - T l-.�1f ROvii L <br />
