R83-26 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELr10 <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE FORMATION <br />OF A WATER MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION BY <br />JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR THE COTTAGE <br />GROVE RAVINE. <br />WHEREAS, the 1982 Metropolitan Surface Water <br />Management Act requires the creation of a Watershed <br />Management Organization to plan for water management <br />in the southern part of Washington County; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Act provides three different <br />methods for creating an organization. <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that it is the in- <br />tent of City of Lake Elmo to form a Water Management <br />Organization for the Cottage Grove Ravine Watershed <br />via a Joint Powers Agreement with other effected Com- <br />munities/Townships; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution <br />be a formal request to the Water Resources Board asking <br />for preliminary review and comments on the preliminary <br />boundary developed for the Cottage Grove Ravine Water- <br />shed. <br />ADOPTED, this the 5th. day of April, 1983, <br />by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo, Washington <br />County, Minnesota. <br />SIGNED: <br />e 'tA-tl <br />Mayn L.
