I1g
will be presented to you at the Council table.
We have a great deal of faith in Dave's judgement and
will be recommending hiring Al as a Shelter Worker at
the rate of $3.35 per hour. The total hours that the
Park Shelter will be open will remain the same as in
previous ,years. This additional worker simply gives
Dave some flexibility. Attached is a Park Shelter
schedule with A1's ten hours per week included.
F. Maintenance Department Requests:
1. Dave Wisdorf informs me that our existing furnace in
the old City Hall is quickly deteriorating. We had a
repairman in there last week and he indicated the heat
exchanger is burning up and.this very expensive item may
or may not last this winter season. To repair this old
furnace would not be cost efficient, therefore, Dave is
requesting authorization to go out and solicit quotes
for a new furnace at the old City Hall.
Dave estimates a new furnace would cost approximately
$1000.00. It would be about the same cost as repairing
the.;r;.iexisting furnace. I think it is important to keep
this building in tip-top shape and to keep it operating
smoothly. Further use of this building from the City's
perspective is unknown, but it definitely could be
detrimental for us to not have the furnace operating.
2. Dave Wisdorf is requesting that the Council
authorize the staff to send Christ Lutheran Church a
bill for $50.00 to reimburse us for staff time.
Dave indicated he was called out to this church late
Christmas Eve to correct a "water break" which turned
out to be a sewer backup problem. Dave has given me a
few notes on what happened on Christmas Eve, and I can
briefly explain this to the City Council at the table
Tuesday evening.
