KLAERS, CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />May 8, 1984 <br />SUBJECT: INFORMATIONAL MATERIAL FOR MAY 15 MEETING <br />l" Attached for your information is the most recent City <br />NMWMQtQC, dated May 8, 1984^ <br />2^ Wish to acknowledge that Mei[lto[la[lge Fg[eman Dams AMC, <br />is planning his two week yMgMtigg for May 14 through May 25^ <br />This is provided that nothing unexpected happens with his <br />work schedule before the 14th, <br />3" Enclosed for your information is a report from the Minnesota <br />Department of Health which investigated our wg[ligQ11 w@tp[: <br />smgnly" Most of the report is technical with numbers that <br />do not mean much to the lay person, but the third page <br />contains recommendations concerning our water supply" <br />I have copied this report to Larry Bohrer and the Council <br />may want to discuss the three recommendations listed on page <br />three with the engineer at the next Council meeting. This <br />can be added to the Agenda under Council reports if so <br />desired. <br />4. The past few years the City has had extra [lg1191 99y1E999 <br />(beyond our contract with Washingtory'County) at the <br />eggoll gn Lake DWMgQC0yi110 during the weekend of opening <br />fishing and a few other weekends during the fishing season. <br />This item should have been on the May l adgenda, but it was <br />overlooked" <br />have talked to most of the Council members individually <br />and <br />indicated that <br />we would receive extra <br />coverage for <br />the <br />5~12 <br />weekend, which <br />is the opening weekend" <br />This item <br />is on <br />the <br />agenda for discussion <br />of our future <br />need for <br />extra <br />police <br />coverage at <br />the Demontreville public <br />access" I <br />have <br />asked <br />the deputy to <br />attend this meeting for <br />his input on <br />the <br />future <br />need of this <br />extra coverage" <br />5. Attached id <br />the Council requested letter from the Engineer <br />to VBWD indicating our concerns rpgarding the high UgtgE <br />argWnd SU[!filh PaLk and requested pumping to an alternate <br />location- <br />6, Dave Wisdorf indicated that the May 5 C1010 Up Doy was a <br />success again this year; the City collected over four <br />dumpsters of junk" This is a good service to the public, <br />but it is quite�wpensive. Each Clean Up Day operation cost <br />the City between $700 and $1,000^ <br />
