The Council instructed the <br />Administrator to make this request to the DNR. <br />7. City Council Reports <br />A. Drainage of culvert under Lake Elmo Avenue. <br />Mazzara stated there is a lot of debris in the culvert under County <br />Road 17. The Council instructed the City Engineer to contact <br />Washington County regarding this problem. <br />8. Administrator's Report <br />A. Assessor's recommendation from the 5-22-84 Board of <br />Review meeting. <br />M/S/P Fraser/Eder - To approve the changes in property valuation as <br />recommended by the County Assessor (excluding the Landfill residents). <br />(Motion carried 5-0) <br />M/S/P Fraser/Morgan - To remove Mr. McLeod's name from the list of <br />thirty-five landfill residents that have had -their property valuation <br />decreased; and consider Mr. McLeod's request separately. (Motion <br />carried 5-0) <br />M/S/P Fraser/Morgan - To accept the changes in property valuation as <br />recommended by the County Assessor for thirty-four properties in the <br />Lake Elmo landfill area. (Motion carried 5-0) <br />M/S/P Morgan/Fraser - To change the value of Mr. McLeod's property to <br />$76,700 (a 20% decrease instead of 10%). (Motion carried 5-0) <br />B. Quotations for the old city hall table. <br />The bids for the library table were as follows: Lee and Roanne Axdahl <br />- $227.01; Gisela Lee - $240.00; Michael Burress - $235.00; Bruce <br />Dunn - $250.00 (with a buy-back option for one year at the same <br />price). <br />M/S/P Fraser/Morgan - To accept the highest bid received for the <br />library table (Bruce Dunn - $250.00). (Motion carried 4-0-1 <Dunn>). <br />C. Old City Access regarding landscaping, parking and <br />the existing shoulder. <br />M/S/P Eder/Morgan - To retain the paved area of the old City acccess <br />at the present time, as it protects the road and shoulder and can be <br />used for emergency parking; and request the County to install "no, <br />signs at this location. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />Greg Fouks stated he felt it would be a mistake not to remove the <br />paved shoulder as it will make it too easy and too convenient for <br />people to park there if it is not removed. <br />
