Consideration of appointment to vacant second alternate <br />position on the Parks Commission. <br />Consensus of the Council was to wait on the appointment with the hopes <br />of attracting applicants from areas of the City that are not already <br />represented. <br />M/S/P Dunn/Fraser - To table an appointment to the Parks Commission <br />until January, 1985. (Motion carried 3-0). <br />C. Consideration of C.I.P Requests. <br />M/S/P Eder/Dunn - To replace the Fire Departments 1963 grass rig in <br />1985 with the allocated amount of $20,000 as recommended by the C.I.P. <br />Committee, (Motion carried 3-0). <br />M/S/P Eder/Dunn - To purchase in 1984 the Maintenance Department's <br />requests for (1) two radios for approximately $2000; (2) one steam <br />washer unit for approximately $2000; (3) one wing for the dump truck <br />for appro-ximately.$6000_ as recommended by the C.I.P.. Committee. <br />(Motion carried 3-0). <br />D. Calling a special City Council meeting (workshop) to review <br />1985 preliminary city budget for Tuesday, August 28, 1984 at <br />6:30 p.m. <br />E. Calling the public hearing on revenue sharing and the general <br />fund budget for Tuesday, September 4, 1984 at 9:00 p.m. <br />The Administrator informed the council that the staff had a problem C <br />getting the revenue estimate from the State. Therefore, the public <br />hearing notice could not be published in time for a September 4, 1984 <br />public hearing, so this date should be changed to September 18, 1984. <br />M/S/P Dunn/Fraser - To call a special City Council workshop to review <br />the 1985 City Budget for Tuesday, September 4, 1984 beginning at 5:00 <br />p.m; and to call a public hearing on the Revenue Sharing and proposed <br />General Fund City Budget for Tuesday, September 18, 1984 at 7:30 p.m. <br />(Motion carried 3-0). <br />F. Other <br />1. Appointments to VBWD <br />The Administrator noted that two managers from VBWD are up for <br />re -appointment, and also pointed out that a new law was passed <br />indicating that cities can recommend to the County their list of <br />appointments to that Commission. <br />Eder suggested that we ask the present appointees if they are <br />interested in being re -appointed, and also to put a notice in the City <br />Newsletter that the City will be considering these appointments. <br />
