Klaers, City Administrator <br />RE: Informational Material forDecember 18, 1984, Council Meeting <br />I must regretfully inform the City Council of some personal bad news <br />which has been received by the Dave Wisdorf family. Dave contacted me <br />last Sunday morning and informed me that his father had passed away" <br />Dave/s father died of a massive heart attack at age 71; but, he had been <br />ill for some time. City Council regards have been sent by the staff to <br />Dave's family in Litchfield, Minnesota" <br />1" Attached for your information is the most recent City Newsletter <br />dated December 11, 1984" This newsletter edition highlights articles on <br />the Building Officials Contract, the Lions Park Shelter Workers and the <br />Fire Department CIP and By-laws" <br />2. The Planning Commission will be discussing its work plan in January, <br />1985. This work plan will be discussed at the first few meetings in <br />1985, and, a formulated work plan will be presented to the City Council <br />for its adoption in March, 1985. The Planning CommissioK is soliciting <br />the City Council's input on what the Council desires the Planning <br />Commission to review and examine in 1985" Any comments from the current <br />or future City Council members regarding ideas or concepts which should <br />be discussed and evaluated by the Planning Commission in 1985, should be <br />forwarded to myself" I will then'pass on these comments to the Planning <br />Commission in January" <br />3. Attached for your information are the monthly reports for November <br />from the Washington County Sheriff's Department and the Lake Elmo <br />"alunte,er Fire Department" <br />The police monthly report contains a typical number of miles driven, <br />complaints received and citiations issued; and, the Fire Department <br />report continues to indicate a high number of firefighters responding to <br />each call, with most of the incidents having over 10 individuals <br />responding, <br />4^ At the <br />last City <br />Council meeting/when <br />the park <br />shelter workers were <br />hired, the <br />staff was <br />requested to find out <br />how much <br />was paid during the <br />Nst 06asom <br />to these -workers. <br />In response <br />to this <br />question, during the <br />1983/04 Winter <br />season <br />approximately $1200 <br />was paid <br />to the park shelter <br />irkers for <br />their services. <br />This has been <br />a fairly <br />standard amount <br />hoge past <br />feN seasons <br />andwe anticipate a <br />similar <br />amount to be paid <br />4hiP UpCo0/ing <br />season" <br />
