R-84-58 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, M%NNEGOTA <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A REVIEW OF THE PERA BOARD <br />WHEREAS, many of the members of the Metropolitan Area <br />Management Association belong to the Public Employees Retirement <br />Association; and,, <br />WHEREAS, a number of Public Employees Retirement Association <br />Board members have raised significant questions relating to the <br />appointment process used to hire an interim Executive Director of the <br />Public Employees Retirement Association; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Area Manaagement Association wants <br />to ensure that all Public Employees Retirement Association Board <br />members meet their <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Metropolitan Area <br />Management Association requests that a five year compliance audit of <br />the Public Employees Retirement Association be conducted by the <br />W[liSKYwMitgn ; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Metropolitan Area <br />Management Association supports the actions of some Public Employees <br />Retirement Association Board members to remove the interim Executive <br />Director and to provide for an open process to select a Public <br />Employees Retirement Association Executive Director; and, <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Metropolitan Area <br />Management Association requests that the <br />review the election process of <br />Public Employees Retirement Association Board members to determine if <br />there is a better way to provide a broader representation of Public <br />Employees Retirement Association members on the Public Employees <br />Retirement Association Board. <br />v�'/�--' <br />` ADOPTED this ______m________ day of November, l984, by the <br />City Council of the City of Lake Elmo, Washington County, Minnesota. <br />~� <br />SIGNED: <br />Maynard L.
