Separate bids were requested for the criminal and the
civil aspects of the City Attorney's work. Applications were received
from the following, and details of these proposals are on file at the
city office.
Caswell & Tavernier, P.A.
6070 50th Street North
Oakdale, MN 55109
Emmett D. Their bid is $10,200 per year or
$850 per month with appeals at $50 per hour. The bids received for
the criminal work ranged from $10,200 to $25,00 per year.
Consensus of the Council is that money could be saved by putting the
legal services out for bid, with Mazzara pointing out that the lowest
bid wouldn't necessarily mean the best bid, nor would the highest bid
mean the best bid.
