LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES APRIL 2, 1985 PAGE 9 <br />M/S/P Christ/Morgan - To adopt Resolution 85-12 increasing the Park <br />Donation fee for developers to $250 per lot, as recommended by the <br />Parks Commission. (Motion carried 4-0) <br />D2. Parks Commission Recommendation on Landfill Payments. <br />At the last few Parks Commission meetings, the Commission has been <br />discussing alternative revenue sources. It has been noted that the <br />last payment for the landfill is in 1986. This payment which is <br />coming out of the Parks Fund in the City Budget is $3750. The other <br />$3750 comes from the maintenance department. <br />The Parks Commission is requesting that these funds continue to go to <br />the Park Department, but only be applied to future Capital <br />Improvements. <br />M/S/P Morgan/Christ - That when the final payment is made for the <br />landfill (1986), the City will continue to place $3750 into the Parks <br />Fund Budget designating this money for Capital Improvements. (Motion <br />carried 4-0) <br />D3. Grading and Seeding DeMontreville Park <br />The Administrator stated that Buberl Landscaping Company has quoted <br />$800 to grade and seed DeMontreville Park. The ballfield area will be <br />seeded with a special mix for that kind of use and the balance with a <br />general use mix. <br />M/S/P Armstrong/Christ - To accept the bid from Buberl Landscaping in <br />the amount of $800 to grade and seed DeMontreville Park. (Motion <br />carried 4-0) <br />E. Spring Clean Up Day <br />M/S/P Mazzara/Christ - To authorize Spring Clean Up Day to be held at <br />the old landfill site on Saturday, May 4th, 1985 from 8:00 a.m. until <br />12:00 noon, and to charge the identical fees as were charged if 1984. <br />(Motion carried 4-0) <br />F. Deputy Clerk Position and Secretary Vacancy ' <br />It was noted that Kathy Crombie submitted her resignation effective <br />April 12, 1985. The Council reviewed the memo from the City <br />Administrator and made the following motion. <br />M/S/P Christ/Armstrong - To accept Kathy Crombie's resignation <br />effective April 12, 1985; to appoint Mary Kueffner as Deputy Clerk <br />effective April 15, 1985 at $8.50 per hour; to establish the new pay <br />ranges of $8.25 for low, $9.22 for mid -point, and $9.70 for high for <br />the Deputy Clerk position; to authorize the staff to advertise the <br />clerical worker/secretarial position. (Motion carried 4-0) <br />Armstrong stated that the City should advertise through the City <br />Newsletter and the County's Job Service Center, and not advertise in <br />the St. Paul papers. <br />G. City of Ramsey's request relating to Landfill Legislation. <br />
