LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />MAY 7, 1985 <br />Prior to this meeting, the Council held a round of interviews with <br />four of the applicants for the Maintenance Foreman position. <br />Mayor Morgan called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the council <br />chambers. Present: Armstrong, Christ,.Dunn, Mazzara, Administrator <br />Klaers, Engineer Bohrer. <br />1. Agenda <br />M/S/P Armstrong/Dunn - To approve the agenda for the 5-7-85 City <br />Council meeting as amended. Add: 5A - Bicycle Registration - Gary <br />Swanson, Washington County Deputy; 5B - Petition for "slow - children <br />at play" sign on CR 13B; 11A - Cottage Grove Ravine Watershed (Tom <br />Armstrong); 12E1 - Meed Employee; 12E2 - Lake Rules; 12E3 - <br />Boarding Care Home. (Motion carried 5-0) <br />2. Minutes: April 16, 1985 <br />M/S/P Morgan/Dunn - To approve the April 16, 1985 City Council <br />minutes as amended. (Motion carried 5-0) <br />3. Claims. <br />M/S/P Dunn/Armstrong - To approve claims 86040 thru 86107 as <br />Presented. (Motion carried 5-0) <br />Dunn asked that the itemized report from the Engineer indicate what <br />constitutes pass-thru expenses. <br />4. Licenses: 3.2 beer license for State Bank of Lake Elmo Softball <br />Team at Lions Park for May 17-19 and May 31-June 2. <br />M/S/P Dunn/ To approve a 3.2 beer license for the State Bank of Lake <br />E1mo..Sofball Team at Lions Park for May 17-19 and May 31-June 2 <br />contingent upon a favorable report from the Washington County <br />Sheriff's Department. (Motion carried 5-0) <br />5. Public Inquiries <br />Mayor Morgan introduced Todd White who is doing a study on government. <br />A. Bicycle Registration - Gary Swanson, Washington County <br />Sheriff's Department. <br />Deputy Swanson stated that he has had numerous requests for the City <br />to provide bicycle registration for the children in town. The Lake <br />Elmo school has asked Deputy Swanson if he could come up with some <br />type of program to register the bicycles in Lake Elmo. <br />Deputy Swanson suggested that the City use a three part form, one part <br />which will be kept by the person registering the bicycle, one part is <br />kept on file at city hall, and the third copy is kept on file at the <br />Sheriff's office. The person registering their bicycle would also be <br />issued a sticker to be applied to the bicycle. This would assist in <br />
