LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 17, 1985 Mayor Morgan called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council chambers. Present: Armstrong, Dunn, Morgan, Mazzara, Christ, Acting Administrator Banister, City Engineer Bohrer and City Attorney Knaak. Mayor Morgan acknowledged Program Director, Jackson Hodgson, with an invitation for the City Council to go on a tour through the newly built Beeman House on Tuesday, October 1, 1985 at 6:30 p.m. before the scheduled City Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. 1. Agenda M/S/P Dunn/Mazzara - to approve the agenda for the September 17, 1985 City Council Meeting as amended. 4E. 201 Update, 4F. Speed Zone Study, 5A. Newsletter, 5B. Legion Pond, 6F. Temporary Employee, 6G. Recycling Letter. (Motion Carried 5-0). 2. Minutes - September 3, 1985 M/S/P Armstrong/Mazzara - to approve the September 3, 1985 City Council Meeting Minutes as amended. (Motion carried 5-0). 3. Claims M/S/P Mazzara/Armstrong - to approve claims 86479-86520 as amended. Claim 86494 should read Little Falls Machine - wing & hitch for dump truck $596.50 (Motion carried 5-0). City Engineer's Report A. Simple Lot subdivision (and waiver of platting requirements at 8810 55th Street North). Applicant: Mary Hunt Ms. Mary Hunt proposes to subddivide an existing 7.14 acre parcel into two parcels, each of which will be more than 1.5 acres. The applicant is also asking for a waiver of platting requirements. The stated hardship for the waiver is that, because of the soil conditions and the terrain, these lots cannot be further subdivided. City Engineer Bohrer reported that the soil tests have shown that a septic system and an alternate can be built which should be located in the northeast corner of the lot. M/S/P Morgan/Mazzara - to adopt Resolution 85-32 granting the simple lot subdivision for Mary Hunt at 8810 55th Street North and waiving the platting requirements because it is just a single lot and that this property cannot be further divided because of the soils and terrain and contingent on the applicant paying a park donation fee of $250 for the new lot.
