The City would have a very experienced administrator and <br />an excellent Finance Director. <br />Armstrong - Overby would make a good Administrator, but Marilyn <br />knows the City background and any planning, engineering and legal <br />representation can be retained if needed. She would support <br />Marilyn Banister because she knows what Marilyn can do. <br />Dunn - Each candidate has their good points, but he would pick <br />Overby and Banister. He would support Banister because she will <br />be a devoted employee, has the ability to think and will be <br />conscientious about her work. He would rather look for somone <br />that will stay with the City over the years. When you have <br />someone that is well qualified, why go elsewhere and look. <br />M/S/P Mazzara/Morgan - to approve the hiring of Robert Lee Overby <br />for the position of City Administrator. (Motion carried <br />3-2<Armstrong, Dunn>). <br />M/S/P Mazzara/Morgan - to put together a benefit package for the <br />new City Administrator which will be reviewed at the next City <br />Council meeting on September 17, 1985. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />M/S/P Morgan/Mazzara - to adjourn the City Council Meeting at <br />10:03 p.m. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />---------------------- <br />AMENDED at City Council Meeting September 17, 1985 <br />Morgan - If we make a mistake and it costsus a few thousand <br />dollars, we still have Marilyn. <br />
