LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES APRT_L 21, 1987 PAGE 11
Steve DeLapp responded with whatever you say you should not "pre -judge
your ghosts" before the Planning Commission has a chance to make a
decision because this sets the wrong image. The basic point is the
Planning Commission is supposed to present arguemets that are logical
and can be evaluated before a decision is made.
M/S/P Moe/Johnson - to extend the City Council meeting until 11:30
p.m. (Motion carried 5-0).
D. City Hall Dedication
A formal, ribbon -cutting dedication ceremony for the new City Hall
will be scheduled for Saturday, May 9th and 11:00 a.m.
M/S/P Armstrong/Graves - to approve the City Hall dedication ceremony
on Saturday, May 9th at 11:00 a.m. (Motion carried 5-0).
E. The City employees do not pick up this
material in the old village area, nor in the other neighborhoods
developed in R-1 lot sizes.
The consensus of the City Council was in favor of maintain.in, the
enforcement of the existing city ordinances.
F. Oak Wilt
Councilwoman Armstrong explained that the City Council had approved
last year to have Steve Kunde to fly over Lake Elmo for $250 in June
and assess the oak wilt problem. The City's obligation would be to
Lake care of the City's trees, but the individual homeowner would take
care of their own. City Administrator Overby will contact Steve Kunde
and report back to the Council.
G. Personnel Committee
Councilwoman Armstrong suggested that the Personnel Committee be
composed of the entire council rather than limited to two
councilmembers.. A suggestion was made that the staff list their work
items versus the job descriptions and hold a special meeting of the
City Council tt-tsostsmMMer to review and discuss job descriptions.
H. Summer Youth Employment Positions
The Washington County Job Training Center each year operates a Summer
