•T'' r <br />SPECIAL LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES ~ <br />JUNE 2, 1987 <br />Mayor Arlyn Christ called the special City Council meeting to order at <br />5:30 p.m. at the Lake Elmo Inn. Present: Christ, Moe, Graves, <br />Armstrong (arrived 5:45 p.m.), City Administrator Overby and City <br />Assessor Frank Langer. Absent: Richard Johnson. <br />1. 1987 Board of Review <br />Frank Langer requested some time to review several of the requested <br />tax adjustments considered by the City Council at the Board of Review <br />May 20, 1987. Langer explained that the City has 20 days in which to <br />certify, approve and return the changes made in payable 1988 tax <br />assessments. The City Council discussed these requested changes with <br />Mr. Langer. <br />M/S/P Moe/Graves - to approve the changes in tax assessments for the <br />1987 Board of Review. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />2. Maintenance Building Change Order <br />Mayor Christ explained that a change in the building specifications <br />relating to a storage shelf (mezzanine) is required by the State <br />building code. This change was unforeseen by the Maintenance Foreman <br />or the Building Official. <br />The change in specification requires that the height of the building <br />be increased by 1 foot to meet the Uniform Building Code. This change <br />in building dimension will add $1,757 to the cost of the building, or <br />a new total of $17,657. <br />M/S/P Moe/Graves - to approve a change order for the maintenance pole <br />building in the amount of $1,757 to accomodate a 1-foot increase in <br />building height, as required by the Uniform Building Code. (Motion <br />carried 4-0). <br />
