LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES MARCH 1, 1988 PAGE 11 M/S/P Moe/Johnson - to set up a personnel executive session for ( interviewing the six candidates chosen on Saturday from 9-12 at City Hall. (Motion carried 4-0). I. 1996 Summer Olympics Mayor Christ received a letter from the Bid Committee for the XXVIth Olympiad in Minneapolis -St. Paul inviting him to an informational meeting regarding a bid effort to bring the Twin Cities and Duluth -Superior the Summer Olympic Games in 1996. A gathering will be held at the Ballroom of the Sheraton Midway Hotel, located at I-94 and Hamline in St. Paul on Wednesday March 9, 1988 from 7:30 p.m. until about 9:30 p.m. Councilman Moe and Mary Kueffner are interested in attending this informational meeting. J. Purchase of MN/DOT Property A letter waSreceived from MN/DOT in which they offer the city the option to purchase a parcel of land (Parcel 16, A. Schilitgren 5.94 acres) at a value of $2000 per acre. The City Council didn't see any need for this land and recommended holding off accepting this offer. K. Vacancies in Multi -Member State Agencies A letter was recevved from Joel Jamnik, Legislative Counsel giving notice of vacancies in Multi -member State Agencies. The Council suggested these vacancies be advertised in the Lake Elmo Newsletter and if anyone is interested in these positions they are to contact the City office. M/S/P Moe/Johnson - to adjourn the City Council meeting at 11:53 p.m. (Motion carried 4-0). ------------------ Ordinance No. 8012 amending Section 701 and 702 of the Lake Elmo Municipal Code as revised per Larry Bohrer's letter dated 2-25-88 and to include changes made at the public hearing. Ordinance No. 8013 establishing Section 707--Wastewater Service Charge Ordinance No. 8014 establishing Sewer Service Charge System for the City of Lake Elmo dated January 1988. Ordinance No. 8015 adopting the Building Permit Pee Schedule as outlined in the 1985 UK.
