Set date for clean-up days <br />Lake Elmo Clean-up Days has been set for Saturday, May 14th. The <br />following charges have been established: <br />$35 for dump truck <br />$16 for pickup or large trailer <br />$10 for stationwagon or small trailer (under 6 feet) <br />$ 7 for standard car <br />The City will double charge non-residents.that-have-been-allowed-ke <br />+ damp -by - showing- the ir-valid-driver's-}ieease{wt'k-Lake-9.FAG- ices ldense. <br />If they are new residents, they can come intoCityHall and receive a <br />statement verifying residence. <br />M/S/P Graves/Moe - to approve the above new rates for the May 14th <br />Lake Elmo Clean Up Days. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />Any Community/Civic organization in the City will be exempted from the <br />fee structure for community oriented projects. An article will be put <br />in the City newsletter stating that the charge structure, but will <br />state that civic organizations must contact the City Office prior to <br />May llth to get clearance/waiver from the fee structure. A list of <br />specified vehicles that will be allowed in at no charge will be <br />available to the people at the site. <br />M/S/P Graves/Moe - to insert an article in the City Newsletter stating <br />- that civic organizations are encourged to participate in the Lake Elmo <br />Clean-up Days, but they must register at the City Office by May llth <br />and non-residents (by proof of drivers license) will be charged double <br />the rate. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />D. Review contract with Washington County Sheriff's <br />Department <br />The 1987 actual and the 1988 estimated costs for providing law <br />enforcement services to Lake Elmo by contract with the Sheriffs Dept. <br />was reviewed by the City Council. The County is projecting a 1.66% <br />increase. The Council asked why are we always underestimating and what <br />can we do to get a better "handle" on costs for the future. <br />E. Street Sweeping Bids <br />Four bids were received for the 1988 street sweeping project. Bids <br />received were from Allied Blacktop, Clean Sweep Inc., Mike McPhillips, <br />Inc., and T.A. Schifsky. <br />
