Vit ad 6 2210 LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 17, 1988 Mayor Arlyn Christ called the City Council meeting to order at 8:01 p.m. in the City Council chambers. Present: Christ, Johnson, Armstrong, Graves, Moe (arrived 9:00), City Engineer Bohrer and City Administrator Morrison. OATH OF OFFICE FOR CITY ADMINISTRATOR PATRICIA MORRISON 1. Agenda Add: 3B. Landfill Update, 6B. MSA Designation for 43rd and Kimbro Avenue, 9A. Compensation to Mary Kueffner M/S/P Graves/Armstrong - to approve the City Council meeting agenda as amended. (Motion carried 4-0). 2. Minutes: May 3, 1988 M/S/P Graves/Johnson - to approve the May 3, 1988 City Council meeting minutes as amended; contingent on Item #8 One Percent Rule being approved by City Engineer Larry Bohrer. (See Item 45 Landfill Update) (Motion carried 3-0-1<Christ>). 3. Claims M/S/P Graves/Armstrong - to approve the May 17, 1988 claims 090223 thru #90299 with the deletion of Claim #90247 Allied Blacktop $357. (Motion carried 4-0). B. Landfill Update Todd Williams reported that REAPP will be trying, for the third time, to get all of their issues accepted by the County Board for inclusion in the Seeping Document. These efforts consist of writing out arguments and sending them to all the Commissioners ahead of the final meeting sometime in January. REAPP requested that City Administrator Pat Morrison be present at the first County Board meeting in June in order to get involved with the discussion. REAPP will have a booth at the County Fair and asked the City Council to think about what kind of displays they would like to see. Signatures will be solicited on the County Board petition asking them not to break the covenants. REAPP will try to avoid the possibility of duplicate signatures. 4. PUBLIC HEARING: Request for variance to size of accessory structure in Rural Residential zoning district. Applicant: Marl, Hatherly/Janet Keyes Mayor Christ called the public hearing at 8:18 p.m. in the City Council chambers.
