LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL, MINUTES <br />OCTOBER 18, 1988 <br />Mayor Arlyn Christ called the City Council meeting to order at 8:03 <br />p.m. in the City Council chambers. Present: Christ, Johnson, <br />Armstrong, Graves, Moe (arrived 8:10 p.m.), City Engineer Bohrer, City <br />Attorney Knaak, Building Official Jim McNamara and City Administrator <br />Morrison. <br />1.. AGENDA <br />Delete: 7B. Striping Policy for Local Streets <br />Add: 7C. Status Report on 33rd St. and Klondike Road Improvements <br />10C. Status on the VBWD report on the Downs Lake Area <br />10D. Newsletter <br />M/S/P Graves/Johnson - to approve the October 1.8, 1988 City Council <br />agenda as amended. (Motion carried 4-O). <br />2. MINUTES: OCTOBER 4, 1.988 <br />M/S/P Johnson/Armstrong - to approve the October 4, 1988 City Council <br />minutes as amended. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />3. CLAIMS <br />M/S/P Graves/Armstrong - to approve the October 18, 1988 claims #90897 <br />thru #90953 as presented. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />4. REAPP REPORT <br />Dan Novak reported that on October 11th the Washington County Board of <br />Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing a contract with the <br />Metropolitan Council and Dayton Corp. for a possible purchase of 22.7 <br />acres that is owned by the Dayton Corp. which is also included in Site <br />G. <br />Copies of the flyer for the referendum will be completed late Fri -day <br />and ready for distribution. A staff member will deliver these flyers <br />to the post office on Saturday morning. <br />The informational meeting held at City Hall on October 30th will <br />consist of a formal presentation by Councilman Dick Johnson. REAPP <br />will be in attendance for answering of questions that may be referred <br />to them. <br />5. PLANNING/LAND USE/ZONING: <br />A. PUBLIC HEARING CONTINUATION: D.C. SALES, 9240 Hudson Blvd. <br />Variance to Number of Signs <br />M/S/P Graves/Moe -- to take off the table the variance request to the <br />number of signs by D.C. Sales. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />
