RESOLUTION 88-35 <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR 1988 BITUMINOUS OVERLAY PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the <br />improvement known as the 1988 Bituminous Overlay Project, being <br />overlays on the following streets: <br />Hilltop Avenue (including some curb replacement); <br />36th Street, from Jamaca Ave. to Irwin Ave.; <br />37th Street, from Irwin Ave. to 200'+ east; <br />Legion Ave., from 30th St. to the south; <br />27th St., 28th St., Ironwood Trail & Irish Ave., <br />within Tablyn Park Addn.; <br />27th St., and 27th Court, within Tablyn Park, 2nd Addn.; <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to 'law, and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement. <br />Bituminous TNaterials 72,708.60 <br />Alexander Construction 71,098.80 <br />Ace 70,204.80 <br />Tower Asphalt, Inc. 69,577.55 <br />Valley Paving, Inc. 69,248.55 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears Valley Paving; of Shaknpee, T^N is the <br />lowest responsible bidder, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LAKE ELMO, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into the attached contract with Valley Paving, of Shakopee,MN in the <br />name of the city of Lake Elmo for this improvement project according <br />to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the city council <br />and on file in the office of the city clerk. <br />2.
