N w 1 LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTE JANUARY 3, 1.989 Acting -Mayor Rose Armstrong called the City Council meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. in. the City Council chambers. Present: Armstrong, Johnson, Moe. Absent: Mayor Christ and Councilman Graves. 1. OLD BUSINESS: Minutes: December 6, 1988 M/S/P Johnson/Armstrong - to approve the December 6, 1988 Ciity Council minutes as amended. (See Page 7). (Motion carried 3-0-2 Abstain: Christ, Graves). M/S/P Moe/Johnson - to adjourn the January 3, 1.989 meeting, sine die. (Motion carried 3-0). OATHS OF OFFICE: Mayor -elect Susan Dunn and Council. members -elect Todd Williams and Lee Hunt were given the oath of office by City Administrator Morrison. Mayor Susan Dunn called the January 3, 1989 City Council meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Present: Dunn, Hunt, Williams, Moe, City Engineer Bohrer, Attorney Steve Carlson, Administrator. Morrison, Building Official, Jim McNamara and Finance Director Marilyn Banister. Absent: Graves. 2.. AGENDA 11B. Add Resolutions 89-8 - 89-10 for Park Commission. M/S/P Hunt/Williams -to approve -the January 3, 1989 City Council agenda as amended. (Motion carried 4-0). 4. Claims M/S/P Williams/Moe - to approve the January 3, 1.989 Claims #91219 thru #91317 as presented. (Motion carried 4-0). 5. A. PUBLIC INQUIRIES Section 32 property owners, Bob Dreher and Leonard Kirvida informed the Council the landowners in Section 32 are pursuing annexation to the City of Oakdale citing reason being they cannot get developers to commit themselves because of unavailability of sewer and developers do not like to work with the City. They asked the Council if the City had any options available for Section 32 development. The Council and staff suggested setting up a workshop in order to hear their concerns and discuss their requests. Saturday morning, January 7th, was tentatively set up for a meeting. Mr. Dreher will. confirm this meeting with the City Administrator.
