PPR V ' t <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 5, 1989 <br />Mayor Dunn called the City Council meeting to order at 7:06 p.m. in the <br />City Council chambers. Present: Dunn, Hunt, Williams, Graves, Moe, City <br />Engineer Bohrer, City Attorney Knaak and City Administrator Morrison. <br />MAYOR DUNN PROCLAIMED THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 10 THRU SEPTEMBER 16, 1989 AS <br />ST. CROIX AREA UNITED WAY WEEK AND URGED ALL CITIZENS, BUSINESSESS, AND <br />ALL OTHER ORGANIZATIONS IN THE ST. CROIX VALLEY AREA TO PLEDGE SUPPORT OF <br />THIS WORTHWHILE CAUSE --THE UNITED WAY TO HELP PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY IN <br />THEIR TIME OF NEED. <br />1. AGENDA <br />Add on: 6G. Shoreland Permit:Gerald Gorachi, BE. Cozy Cove Motel Update <br />M/S/P Graves/Moe - to approve the September 5, 1989 City Council agenda as <br />amended. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />2. MINUTES: AUGUST 15, 1989 <br />M/S/P Hunt/Williams - to approve the August 15, 1989 City Council minutes <br />as amended. (Motion carried 4-1: Abstain: Graves). <br />3. CLAIMS <br />M/S/P Moe/Graves - to approve the September 5, 1989 Claims #92212 thru <br />#92281 as presented. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />4. PUBLIC INQUIRIES: <br />David Bucheck, spokesman for the citizens who live adjacent to the Third <br />Addition of Packard Park, stated they have reviewed the information and <br />report that have been received regarding the proposed Addition and have a <br />number of concerns and questions regarding this continued development. <br />(See Appendix A) <br />Councilman Hunt suggested directing the city staff to go back to the <br />report to identify what things we, as a city need to do, and to review the <br />recommendations that they put together in order to get something positive <br />accomplished. When this comes back, then the determination for the second <br />step, if things are moving to the satisfaction of everyone, a'public <br />hearing will be held. <br />Councilman Hunt volunteered to go to the next VBWD meeting to contact Al <br />Dornfeld to begin the discussion process and report back by the first <br />Council meeting in October. <br />5. REAPP REPORT <br />Todd Williams requested Council approval for authorization of $600 per <br />month for payment to Attorney Ellen Sampson to keep in contact with the <br />Washington County Health Dept. <br />
