RESOLUTION 89-17 CITY OF LAKE ELMD WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the City Council dated the 21st day of June, 1988, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the Improvement of 43rd Street from Kimbro Avenue to Lake Elmo Avenue, and Kimbro Avenue from 43rd Street to 47th Street, by grading, gravel base construction, bituminous surfacing, and right-of-way acquisition and has presented plans and specifications to the Council for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LAKE ELMO, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause_ to be Inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvementunder such approved plans and specif ications. The advertisement shal I be publ ished for three weeks, shal I specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will received by the Clerk until 10:00 be AM on Thursday, Apr11 6, 1989, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of City Hall by the City Cl-erk the and Engineer, will then be tabulated, will be considered by the Council at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, April and 18, 1989, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid.
