WHEREAS, a change in the land, use in the land would adversely effect <br />the existing ecosystem by substantially altering the environment of <br />both the land included within the petition and the adjacent land in <br />Lake Elmo; and, <br />WHEREAS, the tax and governmental aid issues will not be effected by <br />the annexation; and, <br />WHEREAS, the consolidation will not have any effect on the School <br />District 622 except that if the land is annexed to Lake Elmo, the <br />developed residential lots will not be further subdivided causing an <br />additional burden on the School District; and, <br />WHEREAS, there is no applicability of the State Building Code, <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lake Elmo will accept the <br />petitioner's land into the City of Lake Elmo if permitted by the City <br />of Oakdale and the State Municipal Board or if so ordered by the <br />Municipal Board, <br />FURTHER, the City of Lake Elmo does not support the use of joint <br />annexation/detachment as a means of resolving land use issues. <br />ADOPTED, by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo this 2nd day of <br />May, 1989. <br />Signe . <br />Susan Dunn <br />Mayor of Lake Elmo <br />ATTEST: <br />Patricia Morrisotk, City Administrator <br />
