Election of Acting Mayor <br />Action on the election of Acting Mayor was tabled at the January 2nd <br />meeting pending appointment to the Council vacancy. <br />M/S/P Hunt/Dunn - <br />preside over meet: <br />at other official <br />3-2:Armstrong, Grz <br />ably, but thought <br />around.) <br />to nominate Todd Williams, as Acting Mayor, to <br />.ngs in the Mayor's absence and to represent the City <br />functions as directed by the Mayor. (Motion carried <br />Ives: He is sure that Todd has carried out his duties <br />it would be worthwhile moving that responsibility <br />B. Parks Commission Appointments <br />Nancy Hansen, Parks Commission Chair, has recommended that Scotty <br />Lyall, Dan Trauscht and Mark Busta be reappointed to three-year terms <br />on the Parks Commission. <br />M/S/P Graves/Dunn - to reappoint Scotty Lyall, Dan Trauscht and Mark <br />Busta to three year terms on the Parks Commission, commencing January, <br />1990 and ending December 31, 1992. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />C. Council Representatives to City Functions <br />M/S/P Graves/Williams - to bring back Council Representatives to City <br />Functions back onto the table for Council consideration. (Motion <br />carried 5-0). <br />At the January 2nd meeting, the Council, as a whole, was appointed to <br />serve as a committee for budget, personnel and capital improvement <br />until an appointment is made to fill the existing council vacancy. <br />M/S/P Graves/Williams - to appoint Council Members Williams and Hunt <br />to the Budget Committee. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />M/S/P Graves/Williams - to appoint Council Members Graves and <br />Armstrong to the Personnel Committee. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />M/S/P Graves/Williams - to appoint Council Members Williams and Hunt <br />to the Capital Improvement Committee. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />M/S/P Graves/Williams - to appoint Mayor Dunn as an alternate to all <br />three committees. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />7. CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT <br />A. Street Light Request <br />At the January 2nd Council meeting, the residents along 31st Street <br />requested installation of street lights at Jamley Avenue (a public <br />street), at Janero Avenue (a private road), and at Friedrich Road (a <br />private driveway). Staff verified the request was signed by the <br />majority of the adjoining landowners. <br />
