City of Oakdale RESOLUTION NO. 90-jg EFFECTING THE DETACHMENT OF CERTAIN LANDS FROM THE CITY OF OARDALE AND THE ANNEXATION OF SAME TO THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO. At a regular meeting of the city Council of the City of Oakdale held on Tuesday, April 10, 1990 at the Oakdale Municipal Building, 1384 Hadley Avenue North, Oakdale, Minnesota, with the following members present: Mayor Leo Huda"at CouncilmembOrs Ted Bearth, Sill Lee, Bat Morris and Bev Peterson and the Following absent: None, the Oakdale City Council resolved: WHEREAS, the City of Oakdale received a petition from Thous O. and Rosemary c. Armstrong on aanuary 23, 1989 requesting detachment of 13 acres from the City of Oakdale and the annexation of same to the City of Lake Elmo attached hereto as Exhibit Al and WHEREAS, the City of Oakdale has reviewed this request and does not object to the concurrent detachment of this property from the City of Oakdale and its annexation to the City of Lake Elmo; and WHEREAS, the city of Lake Elmo is willing to accept the annexation of the 13 acres petitioned for detachment from the City of Oakdale. Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by they city council of the City of Oakdale: 1. That those certain premises situated in the State of Minnesota, County of Washington, described as follow to wit: The north half (N 1/2) of the east half (L 1/2) of the southeast quarter (SE 1/4) of the northeast quarter (NE 1/4) Of Section 29, Township 21 north, Range 21 west, containing ten acres, more or less. and also, the northerly three hundred eighty-eight and five tenths (388.5) feet of the east half (E 1/2) of the southeast quarter (SE 1/4) of the southeast quarter (SE 1/4) of the 29 north, Range quarter 211 west, (o containing threeioaces, moreehor less. 2. That the City Council finds that the above described property now located in the City of Oakdale abuts the City of Lake Elmo and is properly subject to concurrent detachment and annexation by concurrent resolutions of the two councils of the two municipalities pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 414.061. 3. That it is the desire of the City of Oakdale that the above described property be concurrently detached from the City of Oakdale and annexed to the City of Lake Elmo. 4. That it is the desire of the City of Lake Elmo that the above -described property be concurrently detached from the City of Oakdale and annexed to the City of Lake Elmo.
