RESOLUTION 90-13 <br />A RESOLUTION CONTROLLING PARKING ON COUNTY ROAD 17 AND RESIDENTIAL <br />STREETS ABUTTING LAKE ELMO, DURING CERTAIN HOURS OF THE U.S.OLYMPIC <br />FESTIVAL THAT WILL BE HELD ON LAKE ELMO JULY 5 THRU JULY 15, 1990; <br />AND ALLOWING THE OLYMPIC COMMMITTEE TO SET UP AN ADMINISTRATIVE <br />TRAILER ON KLONDIKE AVENUE DURING THE U.S. OLYMPIC FESTIVAL <br />WHEREAS, the U.S. Olympic Festival will be held in the Twin <br />Cities from July 5 thru July 15, 1990; and <br />WHEREAS, Lake Elmo's namesake lake has been choosen as the site <br />for the Canoe/Kayak-Sprint and Rowing Competition; <br />WHEREAS, Lake Elmo fully supports the efforts of the U.S. Olympic <br />Festival and welcomes the opportunity to be a host city to this event. <br />THAT: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL <br />1. Parking on County Road 17 will be posted as no parking <br />during the Olympic Festival events that will be held on <br />Lake Elmo. Residential streets in close proximity to <br />Lake Elmo will be posted no parking, based on need, <br />during the Olympic Festival events that will be held on <br />Lake Elmo. This will be done to protect the property <br />and privacy of the City's residents, and to prevent <br />spectators from parking along city streets and entering <br />the Park from the north end. <br />2.
