1990 <br />CURBSIDE RECYCLING GRANT GUIDELINES <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br />1. The curbside recycling program must be implemented during_ <br />1990. <br />2. Administrative expenses may be included if the expenses are. <br />for the purpose of implementing a curbside recycling <br />program. Administrative costs for these Guidelines include <br />staff costs and legal costs only. <br />3. A Curbside Recycling work plan must be submitted and, <br />approved by the Public Health Department. The work plan, <br />submitted on a form provided by the Public Health_ <br />Department, must include: <br />a. The provider of the curbside service. <br />b. A description of the service, including service area, <br />number of households, frequency of pickup, days pickup. <br />occurs. <br />C. A description of public_ education methods and. <br />materials; cost. <br />d. Methods used to measure the quantities of collected. <br />materials. <br />e. A description of the system to be used to resolve <br />complaints about service quality. <br />f. Types of materials to be collected. <br />g. Names of people on the recycling or solid waste <br />advisory committee. <br />4. If recycling services will be provided by a contractor, a <br />- written agreement must be executed between the city/town and <br />the contractor. The agreement must require the contractor <br />to provide verification on the types and amounts of <br />materials recycled. This information must be provided to, <br />the Public Health Department. <br />5. Curbside Recycling semi-annual reports shall be submitted to <br />the Public Health Department. The reports shall be on a <br />form provided by the Public Health Department. <br />1 <br />
