March 30, 1990 <br />- - - <br />Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />Lake Elmo, Minnesota <br />Re: 15th Street Improvements <br />Lake Elmo, Minnesota <br />Commission No. 9492 <br />Dear Mayor and Council: <br />At the last meting we were authorized to revise the road shoulder width in accordance with the <br />District State Aid Engineer's requirements and postpone the bid opening two weeks to make the j <br />necessary plan changes, <br />Based on the traffic counts taken last fall (750) and the traffic count taken this spring (600) the <br />District State Aid Engineer will require 8 feet wide shoulders. This width can be accommodated <br />without any additional permanent right-of-way, although some additional temporary easements <br />will bg necessary during construction. We have revised the plans in accordance with the State <br />Aid Engineer's requirements and have issued the revised plans to the bidders. <br />Sincerely, <br />Larry D.
