LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 15, 1990 PAGE 10 <br />The Council discussed the information provided and felt that Lake Elmo <br />acted without considering all of the implications of a sprinkling <br />ordinance in an area where city water is not available. The Council <br />recommended the Planning Commission hold a public hearing to consider <br />repeal of the sprinkler ordinance. <br />M/S/P Hunt/Armstrong - to direct the staff to set up a Public Hearing <br />for the Planning Commission to consider repeal of the Sprinkler <br />Ordinance (Appendix E) for commercial structures which exceed 5000 <br />square feet. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />6. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />A. Recycling Bin Kick -Off <br />The Council requester a thank you be placed in the City Newsletter <br />recognizing the volunteers who made the Recycling Bin Kickoff such a <br />success. <br />B. Tree Planting <br />The Parks Commission planted 1,000 trees in Sunfish Park. The Council <br />thanked the Commission and the volunteers for a job well done. <br />C. Comprehensive Plan <br />Councilman Williams suggested a Future Land Use Map be sent with the <br />Comp Plan Public Hearing notice to every residence in the City. <br />M/S/P Williams/Graves - to direct the staff to mail a Future Land Use <br />Map with a Comprehensive Plan Public Hearing Notice to every mailing <br />address with precise text noted by the City Administrator. (Motion <br />carried 4-0). <br />7. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />A. Administrator's Contract <br />The Personnel Committee met and submitted for Council review a Draft <br />employment contract for the City Administrator. The Contract <br />revisions were reviewed by the City Attorney. (See Employment <br />Agreement attached). <br />M/S/P Hunt/Graves - to approve the 1990 Employment Agreement, as <br />revised, for Mary Kueffner, City Administrator. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />B. Bids for weed and feed at Kleis Park <br />The staff was directed to secure bids from several commercial lawn <br />chemical applicators. Four quotes were reviewed: <br />Organic Lawn Care $250.00/Application <br />Ever -Green Lawns $200.00 " <br />Chem Lawn $235.26 " <br />Green Stuff $140.00 " <br />
