LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JULY 17, 1990 PAGE 11 <br />approval for this program and suggested that other communities and/or <br />organizations with in. the community follow suit. <br />M/S/P Hunt/Armstrong - to formally support and encourage the Solid <br />Waste Advisory Committee to proceed with the "Adopt -a -Highway" program <br />and adopt Highway 5 from Manning Avenue to two miles west and suggest <br />other organizations within the community follow suit. (Motion <br />carried 3-0) <br />The Committee also discussed the pros and cons of organized <br />collection. At a later meeting, the Council will receive a copy of <br />this list. At that time, the committee will be looking for direction <br />from the Council on whether or not to proceed with an RFP as a first <br />step in implementing an organized collection program in the City. <br />I. Valley Branch Watershed Appointment <br />The City received a memo from Washington County regarding Valley <br />Branch Watershed District Appointments indicating that the term of <br />William Rohrer, Lake Elmo's representative on the Watershed will <br />expire on November 13, 1990. The Council can either chose to reappoint <br />Mr. Rohrer or direct the staff to advertise for applicants. Mr. Rohrer <br />had indicated he wished to continue as Lake Elmo's representative to <br />the VBWD. <br />M/S/P Armstrong/Hunt - to recommend to the Washington County Board <br />that William Rohrer be reappointed as Lake Elmo's representative on <br />the Valley Branch Watershed District. (Motion carried 3-0). <br />J. Ordinance Amending Fee Schedule <br />The staff was directed to proceed wtih preparing an ordinance to <br />implement the development fee schedule that was proposed earlier this <br />year. Section 105 covers all fees for licenses, permits and services <br />that are in our code and adoption of this ordinance supercedes all <br />other fees. <br />M/S/P Hunt/Armstrong - to adopt Ordinance 8035 amending Section 105 <br />FEES FOR LICENSES, PERMITS AND SERVICES of the Lake Elmo Municipal <br />Code, and to direct the city staff to publish this ordinance in the <br />City's legal newspaper as soon as possible. (Motion carried 3-0). <br />K. Ordinance Amending Section 1.402.1.70, 1402.180, 1402.190 <br />and 1402.200 ANIMAL CONTROL <br />M/S/P Hunt/Armstrong - to adopt Ordinance 8036 amending sections <br />1402.170, 1402.180, 1402.1.90 and 1402.200 of the Lake Elmo Municipal. <br />Code and to direct the City staff to publish this ordinance in the <br />City's legal newspaper as soon as possible.
